  • Test and Trace support payment: People on a means-tested benefit and a low income who are advised by NHS Test and Trace to self-isolate, but are unable to work from home and will lose income as a result, will be eligible for the test and trace support payment scheme.  This will be a one off £500 payment.

Please see our website for further details: Financial support for those self-isolating

Councillor queries and out of hours

General Councillor queries: We now have a dedicated email address for Councillor queries on all matters (including queries regarding coronavirus). The email address is:   (Please note that also works). In order for your query to be properly dealt with, please only email the dedicated email address rather than copying in other officers – this ensures the team managing the queries can deal with them effectively, including logging requests and responses. Please note that this email address will only be monitored Monday to Friday during office hours. Out of hours: Urgent issues arising out of hours should be reported to the out of hours service in accordance with standard practice. The phone number is 01702 215000. The out of hours service will then contact the relevant Council officer who is on-call or the relevant contractor such as Veolia. They also have access to the town link radio and CCTV.
